TAPE RIOT is an interdisciplinary intervention that lives its urban utopia in public space. Dance, visual arts and music build on each other, intertwine and react to the environment.
The revelation of spaces, interstices, a change of focus, a play of perspectives and the transformation of space through the use of graphic lines opens the viewer's gaze to the Unexpected in the city. The interaction shifts the perception of everyday life.
TAPE RIOT is based on the urban reality of a space and the daily flow of those who inhabit it. First of all, it silently shifts the questioning gaze of the curious. Is it normal? Is it real? Two dancers break with the pace of the passersby, opposing the city's movements by pushing the shift further and further. A journey of discovery moving further in the urban space, underpinned by a musical score, the sounds of the immediate environment merge into the sound design.
A contemporary reading of the territory, to explore the space as a space of encounter in a new way.
