Paradis? is the latest project by Kunos Circus Theater, together with the young companies FLUX crew and Mea Arts and in co-production with the Nuithonie Theatre in Fribourg. Following the premiere in May 2023, the ensemble will travel with the show through the various regions of Switzerland. The open-air stage makes the show barrier-free for walking and wheelchair audiences, and the hat collection makes it more accessible for people with varying financial means. Eight artists, including former trainers and students, old and new acquaintances, meet in a multilingual and trans-disciplinary setting. Two different generations of artists work together in partnership. This creates a connection between the figure of the clown, which originates from traditional circus, and contemporary circus. The dancers and choreographer of the FLUX crew also create a mixture with contemporary dance and hip hop. Rosalie and Albert live on the rubbish heap of our society of abundance with their little garden. They nurture the most bizarre plants and take care of the agonies of the smallest and most inconspicuous of flowers. They fight the chaos of eternal growth and try to preserve the beauty of the garden for future generations. One day, subject to a minor accident, Rosalie and Albert arrive at the hidden centre. They make an unbelievable discovery, nothing is the same anymore, reality and appearance merge into an apocalyptic whirlwind with an uncertain outcome.
