Die Cie Roikkuva produziert und kreiert in verschiedenen Zusammensetzungen eigene zeitgenössische Zirkusprojekte für Openair-Bühnen, side-spezifische Events und für die Zelttourneen in ihrem eigenen Zelt, dem Kulturpalast.

Zusammen mit dem argentinischen Schauspieler und Clown Gerardo Tetilla und dem Musiker und Komponisten Lukas Stäger bilden Ulla Tikka und Andreas Muntwyler (Seiltanz) auf der Bühne ein vielseitig-virtuoses Ensemble.
Die Hochzeitskapelle spielt schon, die ersten Gäste treffen ein. Doch die Braut ist noch nicht angezogen und vom Bräutigam fehlt jede Spur. Schliesslich, angetrieben vom feurigen Rhythmus der Kapelle, wagt die Braut den Tanz über das dünne Seil ins Ungewisse. Ihr Schleier wild flatternd im Wind. Doch kommt es wirklich zu dieser Hochzeit oder bleibt am Ende nur die Illusion?
Die Compagnie Roikkuva erzählt diese festliche Geschichte mit viel Charme, Humor, Selbstironie und Poesie.
Together with the Argentinean actor and clown Gerardo Tetilla and the musician and composer Lukas Stäger, Ulla Tikka and Andreas Muntwyler (wiredance) form a versatile virtuoso ensemble on stage.
The wedding band is already playing and the first guests are arriving. But the bride is not yet dressed and there is no trace of the groom. Finally, driven by the fiery rhythm of the band, the bride dares to dance over the thin rope into the unknown. Her veil flutters wildly in the wind. But will this wedding really take place, or will it just be an illusion?
The company Roikkuva tells this festive story with lots of charm, humour, self-irony and poetry.
Avec l'acteur et clown argentin Gerardo Tetilla et le musicien et compositeur Lukas Stäger, Ulla Tikka et Andreas Muntwyler (funambule) forment sur scène un ensemble polyvalent et virtuose.
L'orchestre du mariage joue déjà, les premiers invités arrivent. Mais la mariée n'est pas encore habillée et il n'y a aucune trace du marié. Finalement, entraînée par le rythme enflammé de l'orchestre, la mariée ose danser sur la fine corde vers l'inconnu. Son voile flotte sauvagement au vent. Mais ce mariage aura-t-il vraiment lieu ou ne restera-t-il finalement qu'une illusion ?

Alla fine, spinta dal ritmo infuocato della banda, la sposa osa danzare sulla corda sottile verso l'ignoto. Il suo velo svolazza selvaggiamente nel vento. Ma questo matrimonio avverrà davvero o alla fine sarà solo un'illusione?

Eine Tragikomödie im Umfeld des Zirkus.
Auf die Zuschauer*innen wartet kein klassisches Zirkusprogramm, sondern eine anspielungsreiche, zeitgenössische Inszenierung auf die Zirkustraditionen mit Clownerie, Seiltanz, Luftakrobatik und Jonglage, alles im kleinen und intimen Rahmen. Ein Zirkuszelt, ein Sägemehlrund, eng umschlossen von der steilen Zuschauertribüne und eine unmittelbare Nähe zu den Künstler*innen in einer einzigartigen Atmosphäre.... so sieht moderner Zirkus im Kleinformat aus. Da sind einfach diese Vier, die ihren Zirkus machen - und dieser Zirkus ist ruhig, wild, verschroben und verträumt zugleich, ganz ohne Schnörkel und Glamour.
Das Stück lebt von einer ausserordentlich starken Bildsprache, Livemusik, hochstehender Artistik und der Nähe zum Publikum. Ein Stück als Hommage an den Zirkus durch eine bewusste Gegenüberstellung von Tradition und Moderne. In Empire of Fools lassen die Künstler*innen die kraftvollen Eigenschaften und Bilder des Zirkus aufleben und zur Entfaltung kommen. Nah, unmittelbar, lustig, spektakulär und traurig schön.
A tragicomedy in the circus environment.
A classic circus programme does not await the audience, but rather an allusive, contemporary staging of circus traditions with clowning, tightrope walking, aerial acrobatics and juggling, all in a small and intimate setting. A circus tent, a circle of sawdust, tightly enclosed by the steep grandstand and a close proximity to the artists in a unique atmosphere.... this is what modern circus looks like in miniature. Only these four artists perform the show - and this circus is calm, wild, eccentric and dreamy at the same time, without any frills or glamour.
The success of the show lies in an exceptionally strong visual language, live music, top-class performances and the closeness to the audience. A tribute to the circus through a deliberate juxtaposition of tradition and modernity. In Empire of Fools, the artists bring the powerful qualities and images of the circus to life and to their full potential. Close, visceral, funny, spectacular and tragically beautiful.
Une tragi-comédie dans le millieu du cirque.
Ce n'est pas un programme de cirque classique qui attend les spectateurs, mais une mise en scène contemporaine riche en allusions aux traditions du cirque, avec clowns, funambules, acrobaties aériennes et jonglage, le tout dans un cadre restreint et intime. Un chapiteau de cirque, un rond de sciure, étroitement entouré par les gradins escarpés des spectateurs et une proximité immédiate avec les artistes dans une atmosphère unique.... voilà à quoi ressemble le cirque moderne en petit format. Il y a simplement ces quatre personnes qui font leur cirque - et ce cirque est à la fois calme, sauvage, excentrique et rêveur, sans fioritures ou glamour.
La pièce repose sur un langage visuel extraordinairement fort, une musique live, des performances artistiques de haut niveau et la proximité avec le public. Une pièce qui rend hommage au cirque en opposant délibérément tradition et modernité. Dans Empire of Fools, les artistes font revivre et s'épanouir les caractéristiques et les images puissantes du cirque. Proche, immédiat, drôle, spectaculaire et tristement beau.

Il pubblico non è atteso da un programma circense classico, ma da una messa in scena allusiva e contemporanea delle tradizioni circensi con clownerie, funambolismo, acrobazie aeree e giocoleria, il tutto in un ambiente piccolo e intimo. Un tendone da circo, un cerchio di segatura, strettamente racchiuso dalla ripida tribuna per il pubblico e una vicinanza diretta agli artisti in un'atmosfera unica.... questo è l'aspetto del circo moderno in miniatura. Ci sono semplicemente questi quattro che fanno il loro circo - e questo circo è calmo, selvaggio, eccentrico e sognante allo stesso tempo, senza fronzoli o glamour.
Lo spettacolo vive di un linguaggio visivo straordinariamente forte, di musica dal vivo, di un'abilità artistica di prim'ordine e della vicinanza al pubblico. Un'opera che rende omaggio al circo attraverso una deliberata giustapposizione di tradizione e modernità. In Empire of Fools, gli artisti danno vita alle potenti qualità e immagini del circo. Vicino, immediato, divertente, spettacolare e tristemente bello.
