Garlic and Dangle await their reincarnation. She, impatient and mutinous; he, melancholic and unpredictable. Hanging in their coats, suspended out of time in "No Man's Land", these two whimsical souls study humanity in an improbable tête-à-tête that confronts their desires and their concerns. Hang Up, a production by the Fribourg-based company Les Diptik, is an absurd poem about the state of being (or not being), a delicate and funny exploration of disorientation in the face of a multiplicity of choices, which "hangs" comfortably somewhere between the worlds of clowning and theatre.
