Freely inspired by Victor Hugo Is telling a story as sad and dark as Victor Hugo's Les Misérables a good idea these days? Do the dramatic and intertwined fates of Jean Valjean, Fantine, Cosette, Javert, Thénardier, Marius and Co really have anything to tell us almost two centuries later? "Yes, they do, and we're going to have a laugh in the process, too!" answer the Batteurs de Pavés. After adapting Shakespeare's Hamlet and Zola's Germinal for the street, the duo revisits this key 19th century novel to produce a show for all audiences - interactive and very much their own - with a touch of clownishness and sheer madness!
